Hi, thank you for your support.
When I loaded the FDS file into my FIR Designer M, I received the following message:
“Channel 1: The project file may have been altered using a program other than FIR Designer M. Some parameters may not load correctly.”
Could you please send me a new FDS file that doesn’t show this message when loading? I’m concerned that some parameters may not have been loaded correctly.
When I tried to load the Binary file (32-bit, float) into the miniDSP, I noticed that the woofer has 2000 taps and the tweeter 300 taps. In total, that’s 4600 taps, while the miniDSP can load a maximum of 4096 taps. When I reduced the Filter Length (samples) from 2000 to 1700, I was able to load a total of 4000 taps into the miniDSP, which works fine.
I noticed that you used a Cosine tapered window. Is there perhaps some another window type that could produce a more pleasant, warmer sound for home HiFi speakers ,something that reduces the metallic character and minimizes ringing as much as possible?
