In this situation, setting the filter delay to greater than zero just adds bulk delay. It’s the same as adding channel delay (in a processor). If you find that you need to set the FIR filter delay to something – say 12 samples – and the filter samples (before the peak) are zero, then you could change the FIR filter delay to 0 and set the GPD tab delay to 12 samples.
