I just downloaded a demo to see if FIRdesigner would solve my problem. I see there is a big learning curve to climb before I can determine that. Instead can I ask how to do the following. If Firdesigner or FIR creator can solve my problem, I’d be happy to purchase it.

I need a transfer function that is flat in magnitude but crosses over in phase from 0 degrees just below the crossover frequency to 180 degrees just above it. The actual use case would be near zero degrees at 80 hz crossing to almost 180 degrees at 120 Hz, a fairly steep change of phase. This filter would be cascaded with others to create a composite response but that phase transition is key to what I want/need to do. The composite would include a linear phase low pass at 300 Hz and a low shelf filter.

This response is easy to create by summing a 100 Hz low pass filter with a 100 Hz high pass filter but I’m hoping to be able to do it in a single filter to save DAC outputs and filter taps.
