Hello Eclipse Audio Team, I wanted to ask if you’ve already tackled the additional averaging mode for the averager. Power + (reference phase). The current competition season is just starting for us at AYA and EMMA, and with this average value, I’d be even faster and more flexible when it comes to fine-tuning. I would be very happy if you could work on it and implement it as soon as possible. Many thanks and best regards, Eddi

Binaural measurements are actually a topic in themselves, smaart or systune simulate the head-related measurement process with multiple microphones. It would actually be enough if you could implement Power AVG (rain phase), then users of other measurement systems could also cross their reference phase with measurement averaging and achieve even better results. I don’t know the functionality of how the two programs determine the phase reference, but I believe that they also perform phase summation and display the average phase. In my opinion that is counterproductive in a room with a lot of reflections. I use REW pro and your Averager. OSM is also a great product. None of them can create the desired message value with the reference phase. That would be fantastic if you could implement that. What I also have to mention is a huge compliment to you. FIR DESIGNER is a fantastic program. My sound results have improved a lot with this program. The workflow has been shortened dramatically. Before, I needed 2-3 hours per speaker. With 6 speakers, it took a hell of a lot of time. Now I’m getting better results in just 1 hour for 2 speakers (midrange). You’ve put together a fantastic program. Just add the average power value (reference phase) and we’ll soon be flying to the moon 👌 Perfect, and thank you very much for listening. Best regards, Eddi
2 February 2025 at 10:48 am #989Hello,
This is my first time using FIR Designer and I’m just practicing a bit. I previously created everything through RePhase.
what catches my eye, in the export window, (filter delay examples) (filter length examples). Do I understand correctly that the filter length is samples = taps. and I can move the IR peak within my taps? In RePhase I just registered the maximum tap count of my FiR blocks in Sigmastudio and that’s it. It would be nice if you could help me as quickly as possible with simple means. Thank you very much EDDIi can use 9500TAPS for one
